Lise Guignard, President
Lise is the office manager for The New Brunswick Senior Citizens’ Federation, a non-profit organization. Her earlier career included 13 years as a high school teacher and several years as the director of a daycare. Lise joined the Greater Moncton Chorale in 2010 at the urging of her musician son, Justin, after a foot injury forced her to give up dancing classes. She served as alto section leader for many years, earning the nickname Mama Lisou for her attentive ways, particularly with newcomers to the group. Following a year in the vice-president role, she became president of the choir board in April 2024. Lise is passionate about the enrichment the GMC brings to its many members and the community. A self-professed ‘choir junkie,’ she even named her dog Alto!

Michele Leblanc, Vice-President
Michele’s career of over 35 years has been within the healthcare system. As part of the Technology Services team, she currently oversees all regional and provincial initiatives related to Imaging departments within New Brunswick. Michele has been a member of the Greater Moncton Chorale's alto section since 2017. A strong believer in the power of collectivity, she joined the board in 2023, stepping into the vice-president role a year later. Music has always been part of Michele's family – at any given time, at least three of the Leblanc clan are members of the GMC. Currently, Michele’s husband, ‘Capitaine’ Glenn, and her son, Marc-André, sing in the bass section.

Janet Tidd, Treasurer
Janet brings a degree in business administration and experience working in the financial sector to her position as Treasurer. She moved to Riverview in 2019 and has been a member of the GMC ever since. A passionate musician, she plays piano, sings, and enjoys both choral singing and directing. Her background includes performances with the Saint Andrews Shiretown Singers and the Aeolian Singers in Halifax, as well as various other choirs in communities where she has lived. Janet believes deeply in the benefits of choral singing, and she is grateful for the friendships she has formed in the choir.

Pam Gerdes, Secretary
Pam has held the position of secretary on the GMC board for several years. She joined the choir in 2000, at first as a member of the soprano section, but now as an alto. Pam began her career as an instructor in Cell and Molecular Biology at Dalhousie University, where she also acted as secretary for faculty meetings. Later, Pam moved to Moncton, raising her family of three children and volunteering at Edith Cavell School. She sang with Central United Church Choir for many years and has served as church council secretary since 2006. When not singing or being secretary, Pam can often be found documenting her growing family’s activities in creative scrapbooks.
