Melody Dobson, Artistic Director
Melody is a professional singer with extensive international experience and a master’s degree in voice performance. Recognized as one of New Brunswick’s leading vocal pedagogues, she has made significant contributions to music education and choral excellence in the province. Her work has earned her the Outstanding Achievement Award from the New Brunswick Choral Federation and the distinction of Paul Harris Fellow from the Rotary Club of Moncton West & Riverview. In 2024, Melody was honoured as Atlantic Mazda’s Local Legend, celebrating her remarkable community impact through music. Melody has directed the Greater Moncton Chorale since 2004. She still considers it the best job in the world!
Nhat-Viet Phi, Pianist
Nhat-Viet Phi has worn many hats in his lifetime, chief among these being the roles of solo pianist, chamber musician, church choir director and organist, arranger, adjudicator, amateur vocalist, drag artist, collaborative keyboardist for singers and many different instrumentalists, piano instructor to students of all ages, supply teacher, cover band player, tech and movie enthusiast, foodie, small-scale philanthropist, father and public servant. He wonders where his adventures will take him next; meanwhile, he always enjoys participating in GMC concerts under longtime colleague Melody Dobson.
Sébastien Leclerc, Pianist
Sébastien holds a master’s degree in piano performance from the University of Ottawa where he studied under the tutelage of pianist David Jalbert. He is presently a collaborative pianist at Université de Moncton and Mount Allison University. Sébastien can often be heard accompanying in diverse festivals, galas and collaborations throughout the region.
Tutta Musica Orchestra (TMO)
Tutta Musica Orchestra consists of nearly sixty musicians who are the Teaching Artists and staff of Sistema NB – the highly successful El Sistema inspired program of the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra, Inc. (NBYO) which is one of the largest programs of its kind in North America.
As a professional symphony orchestra with the versatility to break into smaller ensembles of differing instrumentation – from solo acts to full orchestra – TMO offers an adaptable approach to orchestral presentation and collaboration. The ensemble strives to make live orchestral music more accessible, more engaging, and more relevant to more people throughout New Brunswick.
